Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor, Maths/Dyscalculia Tutor

Amanda Lynch

BA Primary Ed, PG Maths Specialist Teacher Diploma (MaST)

Amanda has been working in education for 30+ years. She has specialised in assessing and understanding maths difficulties and dyscalculia for more than 10 years. She understands that every person who struggles to understand maths or remember facts, figures and procedures has a reason for this and that no two people will have exactly the same reason or struggle in identical ways. By uncovering the reasons for their difficulties, Amanda is able to provide personalised recommendations for support to those she assesses and specialised multi-sensory teaching programmes for her students.

As well as continuing to assess and tutor individuals who find maths tricky, she also works for the British Dyslexia Association. In this role, she has written and continues to run and teach on the Level 5 and Level 7 dyscalculia courses, enabling professionals to themselves become specialist maths tutors and assessors of a SpLD in Maths/Dyscalculia.
