Sophie Edmonds
Sophie is a Dyslexia Assessor and Specialist Literacy Teacher with over 15 years of experience in early years and primary education. She studied Publishing and Production at the London College of Printing, followed by a career in Marketing. After starting a family, Sophie discovered a passion working with children while volunteering at her local nursery which inspired her to retrain as a Montessori teacher. She developed a deep understanding of child development and the importance of a child-centred approach to learning.
Following a move to Kent, Sophie trained as a Specialist Literacy Teacher whilst working in a primary school and later qualified as a Dyslexia Assessor. She has also worked as a tutor for the British Dyslexia Association on their Specialist Teacher training course.
Sophie is deeply committed to supporting children with literacy difficulties to achieve their full potential. She designs tailored learning programmes that foster skill development, confidence, and independence. Her sessions are dynamic and engaging, carefully adapted to meet individual needs, close learning gaps, and equip pupils with the strategies they need for lasting success.
